Joy, laughter, anticipation, butterflies, bliss, tension, and relief. Wedding days run high on a multitude of emotions and it's what has kept me hooked year after year. Most of us, at one point or another, have looked back on our own parents or grandparents wedding photos with some sense of adoration and nostalgia. It is with this same sentiment that I strive to document weddings. Your wedding photographs should ripen over time, offering a delayed reaction that grows more meaningful as life carries on and memories fade.

When Kelsi of Altar Micro Weddings reached out to me to photograph this Whidbey Island elopement, it was an instant yes.
The day started out chilly and moody and just as the champagne was popped and the cake cut, the sun decided to grace us with its presence and put on one of the most beautiful sunsets. We shot the day all on 35mm and medium format film and couldn’t have been happier with the results.
If you haven’t been to Ebey’s Landing, it’s one of my favorite places in Washington. A combination of the English countryside, classic PNW water views, and meandering trails for days. This is a little slice of heaven on Whidbey island. You can view more sessions I’ve done at Ebey’s here.
A huge shoutout to everyone who was a part of this day. And don’t forget to hire Kelsi for all your Micro wedding needs, she’s a wonderful human with such an eye for detail and design (plus just a joy to be around!).
Let’s dive in to this Whidbey island elopement on film:)
