cultivating organic &
natural moments into lifelong memories

"I am honored to have not only found her but to have her at my wedding. My guests keep saying how they were blown away by her and they haven't even seen her work. She has a personality on her and makes you feel like you have known her for years. I highly recommend her to anyone and I will always recommend her to anyone I know who wants phenomenal photos taken."

On top of producing gorgeous images (that have a very natural and authentic look-and-feel which was important to me) she was also awesome to work with throughout the entire process pre-event, wedding day, and delivery. No exaggeration, she is the most organized and responsive vendor that I worked with during my planning.

For all the reasons you want your photos to be kept as hard copies of memories, are reasons Alyson is an amazing photographer. She has a welcoming soul & is supportive of whatever hopes you have for your session.

I have had many photoshoots with Alyson, her work is incredible and captures the moment as well as beautiful photos!! She is highly professional and open to all locations which is a major appeal if you want adventure photos!

She's a talented photographer: she's great at giving some direction, which is important for those of us who don't know how to 'pose' or whatnot and she has a great eye for the surrounding environment and architecture so you can interact with it.

I would HIGHLY recommend Alyson Hall Photography to anyone who wants their special day made even more magical! She photographed our wedding and I am obsessed with the photos she captured!!

My boyfriend and I did a shoot with Alyson. I've been modeling for 7 years and it was his first experience in front of a camera, yet we both absolutely enjoyed our experience with her! Him and I hugged and kissed for moments after she left because she was incredible and the experience was such a success.

Best photographer ever! We enjoyed posing for her camera, her style is unique, more artistic (not your typical boring made up poses). We wanted for our engagement session something like “photography editorial” style and we got it! The pictures are breathtaking. She had the perfect spots and ideas for the pictures.

common questions

common questions

How many images do you deliver?

Every wedding is different and I never like to cap it at a certain number. I will never withhold images due to it being over the agreed upon amount and instead just go off of how many quality images we got that day. The images I take are your memories and I always respect that and will always provide you with plenty. With that being said, most 8 hour weddings produce around 400-600 edited images.

How long have you been a photographer?

I’ve been shooting portraits for the past 7 years and have been doing weddings for the last 5 years.

What’s the booking process like?

To reserve your date, I simply require a signed contract and 35% deposit. Its all online and can take any credit/debit card. Easy peasy.

Where are you based and do you travel for weddings/shoots?

I’m currently based out of Seattle, WA but travel all over! Thankfully, Washington neighbors some pretty epic places (Canada, Oregon, California, Idaho, Montana) but I've been traveling abroad since I was 16 and am here to help with any of your travel Q's!

Is travel separate?

For travel outside of the PNW, travel fees are separate. I require flight, transportation, and housing to be covered for any out of state location. I'm always more than down to share housing accommodations, Ubers, rental cars, etc. to cut down on costs for you! Also, be sure to check out my travel dates to see where I'm already headed and avoid travel fees!

What should I wear to a shoot?

I have a whole guide on this I send once you book!

What if I have to cancel/reschedule?

The deposit is legally non-refundable so if you find you have to cancel or move the date you will need to pay a new deposit for the new date you book.

What if you can’t make it to the wedding?

The only case this would happen is something out of my control such as sever illness, an unforeseen accident, or death. Otherwise trust that I will be there rain or shine. I know this is one of the most important days for you and I treat it as such. If I am unable to make it, I will work with you to find a replacement photographer with comparable style and profesionalism.

What is your turnaround time?

I have a pretty quick turnaround time. Typically for couples sessions, images are delivered within 2 weeks. For weddings it usually takes around 5 weeks. If it’s busy season it may take a bit longer but I always try my best to get them delivered as fast as possible while still taking the time to give each of my clients 100%. I know what it’s like to have to wait for images and I know it totally sucks so I try to work fast!

Do you give RAW unedited images?

Nope. My editing style is so entangled within my brand that I only deliver the edited versions. Think of it as a painter giving you a half finished canvas… she/he would say hell no because it isn’t done… same with photographers. With that being said, I am always more than happy to go back and fix/adjust any images that you wish.

What happens if the weather is bad?

I’m a strong believer that “bad weather” is way more fun and delivers beautiful and unique photos. Some of my favorite shots were done in the rain and some of the most magical sunsets I’ve shot in happened after a total monsoon. If it is so bad that it affects transportation, makes for a shitty time, would ruin my gear, or is just unsafe we can of course work to find a date to reschedule. But don’t let a little rain or snow scare you:)

Do you use second shooters?

I primarily always shoot solo unless the bride/groom request otherwise. If it’s an extra large wedding and I don’t feel comfortable getting all the shots that you want then I will hire a second shooter that has a similar style and experience as I do to help make sure we capture every moment. Second shooter prices vary depending on how many hours you want but typically is around $400 extra. I will also always confirm that who I choose is someone you are comfortable with before booking them.

Do you only photograph weddings and couples?

Not necessarily. Although weddings and couples are what I love most to shoot, I often work with fashion brands and other small businesses, as well as family and maternity work. View more of that here
