Joy, laughter, anticipation, butterflies, bliss, tension, and relief. Wedding days run high on a multitude of emotions and it's what has kept me hooked year after year. Most of us, at one point or another, have looked back on our own parents or grandparents wedding photos with some sense of adoration and nostalgia. It is with this same sentiment that I strive to document weddings. Your wedding photographs should ripen over time, offering a delayed reaction that grows more meaningful as life carries on and memories fade.

Big Island Family Photographer
Lately I’ve been much more fascinated by the intimate and mundane. Posing perfectly once a year with stiff smiles has never been my jam; that false sense of perfection sort of makes me cringe and I feel like completely misses all the gold moments of what its like being a family. I want to capture the essence and reality of say, being parents of a toddler, playing in a playhouse, going for a walk, cooking with your kids, laying them down for a nap and then watching them wake up with sleepy and loving eyes. I strongly believe that in the imperfect we’ll find perfect.
Gage and I spent the afternoon with Jessy and her family on the Big Island of Hawaii. It was simple and real and we just observed as the kids did their thing.
